After having practiced yoga myself for over 10 years, I began my journey to become a registered yoga teacher in 2013. I completed my 200-hr training program with YogaFit Canada in 2016. In October, 2016 I began my training to become a register prenatal yoga teacher with Mindful Mamas Prenatal Yoga School. I am currently finishing my training requirements for this 85 hour specialty program.

My goal is to empower women now to make positive changes in their physical and mental health that will benefit them for years to come. Yoga, with its mind-body connection, is uniquely equipped to accomplish this. My vinyasa flow style classes focus on building strength, cultivating body awareness, reflection, and introspection. Expect to be challenged and encouraged. A healthy lifestyle is a choice that we all have to make over and over again, every day. We deserve it.

My interest in Prenatal Yoga naturally flows out of a passion for child birth education & advocacy. As the mother of four amazing kids, I believe that every woman deserves her best possible pregnancy & birth experience. In order for this to occur, we need to properly equip expecting mothers with the tools and strategies to achieve their best possible outcome. Here again, I believe that prenatal yoga is uniquely designed to help us remedy the gaps in our instinctual knowledge. While breathing and strength exercises help prepare the body for the physical marathon of labour, introspection and reflection can help us develop the mental tools & strategies a woman needs to cope with the emotional and mental marathon.

Whether you join me for a Hatha flow or a prenatal class, my hope is that you will leave each class feeling strong, capable, renewed womand with a greater capacity for joy, serenity, and kindness.
